Questionnaire: How My Brain Learns Best
How My Brain Learns Best is a simple, student-facing self-reflection checklist that helps children and young people put words to how executive function feels for them, day to day. Working through everyday situations — starting a task, remembering instructions, staying focused, coping when plans change — students rate what’s usually OK, sometimes tricky or often tricky, with no right or wrong answers. It goes on to explore what tends to make things harder (feeling rushed, too much noise, an unfamiliar task) and what actually helps (seeing the first step, a movement break, fewer distractions), before ending with an open space for students to share one thing they’d like their teacher to know. It’s a quick, low-pressure way to turn a child’s own insight into practical classroom support.
