Who is this course for:

This course is tailored for workplace professionals within corporate organisations, including educators, learning support staff, Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs), senior leadership teams, pastoral and safeguarding leads, and anyone interested in fostering neuro-inclusive environments that prioritise belonging, compassion, and care.

What prior knowledge is required?

A foundational understanding of executive functions and their associated skills is expected.

We recommend completing our Introduction to Executive Function Skills short course (40 minutes) prior to enrolling in this course.

What will I learn?

This course will explore the significance of belonging and introduce the findings from our Belonging Project action research:

  • The importance of belonging for human development – what the evidence shows.
  • The origins of executive function differences – it’s nobody’s fault.
  • How society’s unconscious biases and judgments regarding executive function challenges can lead to feelings of shame, particularly for those affected.
  • The essential role of schools and corporate organisations in addressing societal biases.
  • How community leaders (learners, parents, staff, and corporate teams) can undertake action research on belonging to help cultivate genuinely inclusive environments.
  • Information on available support and funding for participating in the Belonging Project pilot.
